2026–2027 Combined ELAC/SSC Committee
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Nesbit School’s English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and School Site Council (SSC) will operate as a combined committee. This structure brings together families, teachers, staff, and school leadership to provide input and guidance on programs, services, school goals, and resources that support the success of all Nesbit students, with particular attention to English Learners and students served through Title I.

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
ELAC provides parents and guardians of English Learners with an opportunity to participate in the school’s decision-making process and provide input regarding programs and services for English Learner students.
As part of the combined ELAC/SSC committee, members will review the needs of Nesbit’s English Learners and provide input related to programs, services, school goals, and the development of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
School Site Council (SSC)
School Site Council (SSC)
The School Site Council works collaboratively with the principal to develop, review, and evaluate Nesbit School’s School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and the school’s efforts to improve academic achievement for all students.
The SSC is an elected body composed of the principal, teachers, other school staff, parents, and community members. The council reviews student achievement data, discusses school goals and strategies, and provides oversight of resources associated with the SPSA, including Title I funding.
