Ways to Volunteer

There are a multitude of ways to volunteer at Nesbit.  Here are a few:

• Work on a Nesbit PTA sponsored school event.

• Help support SchoolForce efforts by volunteering

• Supervise lunch time play (12:30 - 1:15 M, T, Th, F)

• Help pass out lunches (12:30 - 1:00 daily)

• Work in the classroom

• Help in the library

• Help in the office

Volunteer Requirements

Nesbit School is strengthened because of the invaluable assistance of our volunteers.  Whether you are able to volunteer an hour a year or an hour a week, we welcome your support.

The requirements for volunteering are designed to assure families that all adults working with our children are in good health and eligible to work or volunteer in schools under California law.  Two requirements are necessary prior to volunteering at school:

1. TB certification - submit your TB clearance to the office (certification is valid for 4 years).

2. Department of Justice screening of the list of volunteer names.
