Nesbit Puma Pantry

Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, SNAP benefits (known in California as CalFresh) have been significantly reduced for the month of November, and are arriving late. Many families in our school community rely on CalFresh to put food on the table each month, and these delayed, reduced benefits are creating significant hardship.

In response, Puma Pantry is holding an emergency donation drive for gift cards to local grocery stores. All gift cards will be distributed to Nesbit families impacted by the cuts to help them buy groceries this month.

If you are able to contribute, we are collecting gift cards to Safeway, Trader Joes, Smart & Final, Grocery Outlet, or Target. Please no cash donations. 

We are collecting donations in office, Ms. Shaban’s room (Room 9), Ms. Nuezca’s room (Room 30), or Mr. McIntyre’s room (Room 45). Please bring donations by next Wednesday, November 12.
