PTA - Parent Teacher Association

The PTA is an organization that encourages parent and teacher collaboration to provide an outstanding education for all students. We at Nesbit are fortunate to have such a giving PTA that not only provides assemblies, classroom supplies, and fieldtrip funds but also values and supports families.

  

The PTA encourages families to become active members in their child's education by attending PTA meetings and family functions such as the Family Picnic, Candy Cane Lane, Founder's Day, the Halloween Festival, and the Multi-Cultural potluck/Silent Auction. We also encourage hands-on activities for parents such as creating the yearbook, passing out hot lunches, teaching students Art in Action, fundraising, becoming a room parent and more.

Please consider joining the PTA and becoming a member of this outstanding program.

Join or Help Nesbit PTA:

This is a great way to become more involved in your school and meet other volunteers and parents. We welcome all levels of experience and inexperience. We need parents who want to make a difference in their child’s school experience – and have fun doing it!

Would you like join or help out with an upcoming PTA event, then please contact us! Any amount of time you can help is appreciated. We need people behind the scenes as well during the events. Younger children are always welcome, so no need to worry about childcare concerns. We need people for ongoing events (hot lunch, Wednesday envelopes, etc) as well as individual events (Book Fair, Halloween Carnival, etc.).

 

PTA Meeting Schedule

All PTA meetings are held in the school library and start at 7:00 unless otherwise noted. Childcare and Spanish translation are provided.
