When I discovered libraries, it was like having             Christmas every day.

Decorations and books were up this month for Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day. The silkworms all spun yellow cocoons this year. We welcomed over 220 guests in the library during Open House. The favorite recess activity (besides re-shelving books to earn prizes) was making interesting art with a Pen*dul*art game that I picked up at a garage sale. After a paper and colored marking pen were inserted in the proper places students would “twist it, push it, let it go” and watch the designs made by the marker on the paper. I hope you all enjoy your summer and read at least one good book. Right now it looks like I won’t be back in the fall as I’ve been laid off. I hope that changes but if not, keep reading!
