Registration for Kindergarten and New Students

Kindergarten Visits 2007

  • Parents should first contact the school of residence to determine if there are any openings at that school. If you are unsure about the school of residence for your address, call the District Office, give them your street address, and they will tell you your school of residence.
  • The list of items required for registration is shown below.
  • Completed registration materials are to be brought in person to the school of residence.

    During the summer months, completed registration materials may be brought to the Belmont-Redwood Shores District Office, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. on regular business days.


Registration Materials/Requirements

PLEASE BRING ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS (NOT PHOTOCOPIES) IN PERSON.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION SHOULD NOT BE FAXED OR MAILED.

Completed registration forms (obtain a blank registration form from the school office). Use the checklist below (or download the checklist in PDF format) for a list of documents that you need to bring with you to complete registration.

  1. Driver's License and personal check for identification
  2. Birth certificate or passport
  3. Proof of Residence Documents:
    • Current original utility bills from two different sources (installation papers or bills are acceptable)
    • and one of the following:
      • Residents who are home owners: Sales contract/Grant Deed/current property tax bill
      • Residents who are renters: Signed Rental agreement
      • Other living arrangements:
        • Deed, property tax bill or rental agreement of person with whom you are living
          and
        • Notarized Verification of Residency Form
  4. Student Registration Form (get from school office)
  5. Physical (mandatory within last 18 months prior to entering 1st grade)
  6. Immunization Record (polio, diphtheria, chicken pox, measles, mumps and rubella, and Hepatitis B required; TB is optional). Some admissions may be conditional.
    Note: if you do not bring an immunization record, you must go to the school to obtain the County Medical Examination form and Immunization flier.
